Academia pro Christo (Academia for Christ)
Is a non-denominational Christian ministry targeted at the higher education community and works with students and professors. The main focus of the ministry is to exhort and encourage Christian students and professors to remain in the faith. It also creates room to engage with students and academics who are non-believers in Christ to help them explore the Christian way. All members are referred to as Encouragers.
Academia pro Christo emerged to extend the work of several organizations already engaged in the ministry in academia. The need in universities and colleges is so great that a few organizations cannot cover the full spectrum of the work and all institutions.

The work of Academia pro Christo is largely motivational. We go to educational institutions to deliver speeches, answer students’ and professors' questions and provide support to those who experience difficulties on the journey. Academia pro Christo is therefore a listening and proactive organization whose ethos are firmly embedded in the teaching and command of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour. This means that we profess only what Jesus Christ has revealed, i.e. the God Creator of everything, the Love of God and the Life everlasting through the trust in Him.

Academia pro Christo’s speakers are predominantly drawn from the academic community. This means that most are current or past professors and students in higher education who are well aware of the difficulties in living a Christian life in higher education and the challenges posed by excessive extrapolations of the potency of science as a fetish to understanding universal existence and solve human problem.

Academia pro Christo’s work is fundamental in a world where faith in God is diminishing and professing Jesus Christ is increasing becoming a taboo. Our ministry draws on the firm conviction that God is still sitting on the throne and that King Jesus Christ will return to restore the Kingdom.

Our work is global as commanded by Jesus Christ: “And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15). We work with all groups in any university and anywhere where we are called.
